Thigh Lift
What is a thigh lift?
A thigh lift is a procedure to tighten, firm and reshape the contours of the thighs by removing excess skin and fat. If you are bothered by loose, sagging skin on the thighs, a thigh lift can help to correct these concerns.
Thigh lift surgery candidates
Is a thigh lift surgery a good option for you?
Your plastic surgeon will give you an honest assessment and let you know if you are a good candidate for a thigh lift but in general you should be in good overall health with no medical conditions that can impair healing, must be a nonsmoker or willing to quit smoking, and have realistic expectations.
You should also have significant sagging skin on the thighs with poor skin elasticity, and be maintaining a stable weight.
If you have excess fat in the thighs but good skin elasticity, liposuction alone may be sufficient. Your plastic surgeon will determine if this is an appropriate course of action.

Thigh lift surgery options
Types of thigh lifts available at Station L Montreal
There are multiple thigh lift techniques used to address specific patient concerns, some being performed with other procedures, such as lower body lift, liposuction or tummy tuck. You will discuss the best option for you during your consultation.
Medial Thigh Lift (mini thigh lift)
This technique uses a short incision along the inner groin, resulting in a shorter scar that will help with sagging to the upper part of the inner thigh.
Extended Medial Thigh Lift (vertical thigh lift)
The vertical thigh lift uses a T-shaped incision along the inner groin and a vertical incision along the inner thigh, beginning at the groin extending to the knee. This technique allows for removal of a more extensive amount of skin to effectively tighten loose skin. This is a good option for patients with excessive loose skin due to aging or massive weight loss.
Lateral Thigh Lift (outer thigh lift)
Sagging skin on the outer part of the thighs is less common, but can be present with patients who have lost a significant amount of weight. This technique uses horizontal incisions on the outside of the upper thighs, and is commonly performed with a lower body lift or an extended tummy tuck.
