Neck Lift
Neck lift surgery in Montreal
A neck lift is a surgical procedure designed to focus on the signs of agingspecifically on the delicate area of the neck, chin and jaw area. The neckskin is susceptible to showing these signs; patients feeling bothered bythese concerns can benefit from a neck lift, sometimes performed inconjunction with a facelift.
Who can get a neck lift?
Are you a candidate for neck lift surgery?
While a neck lift will address the signs of aging in the neck, this procedure is not only reserved for older patients. Who can benefit from a neck lift?
- Older patients with advanced signs of aging in the neck. Your plastic surgeon may suggest a facelift with the neck lift for a full facial revitalization
- Any aged patient with excess fat and skin on the neck. These patients will benefit from liposuction in conjunction with the neck lift.
- Any aged patient who has lost significant weight and has been left with excess loose skin on the neck. Weight loss patients are often left with loose skin that can only be removed with surgery.
Your plastic surgeon will give you an honest assessment and let you know if you are a good candidate for a neck lift, but in general you should be in good overall health with no medical conditions that can impair healing, must be a nonsmoker or willing to quit smoking, and have realistic expectations.
