Brow Lift
Eyebrow lift in Montreal
Benefits of a brow lift
What does a brow lift do?
Aging causes the face to wrinkle and droop in many places, including the forehead. A brow lift can help with the following concerns on the forehead.
- Eyebrows that have become lower and drooped with age, giving the appearance of hooded eyelids
- Eyebrows that are sitting low and flat across the brow. A brow lift will restore the arch to the eyebrow
- Horizontal forehead lines
- Vertical lines between the eyebrows (commonly referred to as 11 lines)
Your plastic surgeon will give you an honest assessment and let you know if you are a good candidate for a brow lift, but in general you should be in good overall health with no medical conditions that can impair healing, must be a nonsmoker or willing to quit smoking, and have realistic expectations.

Brow Lift Considerations
How to maximize your brow lift results
A brow lift is an effective way to restore youthfulness to the forehead area, but there are numerous procedures that can be combined with a brow lift to maximize your results.
Some procedures that are commonly performed with a brow lift:
- Face lift
- Neck lift
- Fat transfer (fat grafting)
- Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery)
Your plastic surgeon will provide tailor-made recommendations to you depending on the extent of the signs of aging, age, lifestyle and desired results.
Depending on your age, lifestyle and aesthetic goals, you may benefit from non-surgical options as a less permanent option.
Possible Risks
Know the risks of brow lift surgery
Like any other surgery, there are of course risks associated with choosing to have a brow lift, such as risks associated with anesthesia, bleeding, infection, poor wound healing, fluid accumulation (hematoma), changes in skin sensation and pain that may persist. Being aware of the possible risks will help you to make an informed decision to have your surgery. Your plastic surgeon will discuss all risks in detail with you during your consultation and before surgery.
Additional brow lift risks can include:
- Facial asymmetry
- Nerve injury
- Change in hair line
- Hair loss along incision sites (temporary or permanent)
- Revision surgery if results are unsatisfactory
