Arm Lift
Brachioplasty surgery in Montreal
What is an arm lift (brachioplasty)?
An arm lift (a brachioplasty) is a surgical procedure to remove excess skin, fat, and tissue from the upper arms via incisions placed along the inner arms or back of the upper arms. The procedure addresses excess drooping skin and fat to tighten and smooth the upper arms, frequently performed with liposuction to render the best results possible.
Who is a good candidate for an arm lift?
Find out if an arm lift is an option for you
Your plastic surgeon will give you an honest assessment and let you know if you are a good candidate for an arm lift, but in general you should be in good overall health with no medical conditions that can impair healing, must be a nonsmoker or willing to quit smoking, and have realistic expectations.
You should also have significant sagging skin in the upper arms and be at your goal weight if you have been losing weight. In some cases, liposuction alone will suffice to achieve the desired outcome; your plastic surgeon will discuss this option with you.

What to expect for arm lift recovery

Compression garments: 3-6 weeks
Back to work: 1 week for sedentary jobs (desk job), 2 weeks for physically demanding jobs.
Exercise: Light exercise after 2 weeks (light cardio-walking/treadmill, nothing using the arms), Full activities (such as weights) 4-6 weeks
